BEYONCÉ GET OUT YOUR CHEQUE BOOK

Beyoncé received a fat paycheque for a rather short performance on New Year’s Eve; unfortunately, she’s now paying the price for it.

Beyoncé performed an hour long set on New Year's Eve at a party given by terror-backing Libyan dictator Moammar Khadafy's son, Hannibal. Beyoncé performed five songs with her all female band at the Nikki Beach club on St. Barts in front of a crowd that included her husband Jay-Z, Usher, John Bon Jovi, Russell Simmons and Lindsay Lohan.

Hannibal’s father role in terrorism is well known (Pan Am Flight 103 anyone?) and obviously Hannibal has profited from his father’s regime. It has enabled him to pay Beyoncé two million dollars to perform for an hour, just so he can hang out with the rich and famous. But on a personal level, Hannibal was recently detained for beating the crap out of his wife in London, and then hid behind diplomatic immunity to avoid prosecution.

To those who say Beyoncé was probably ignorant of whom Hannibal Khadafy is, I ask you this. If someone offered your client, a world famous celebrity, two million dollars to perform at a private party you wouldn’t do a google search? And as the artist, you wouldn’t ask your manager who this person is? What this person does for a living? Because for two million dollars I would expect he’d want to have a meet and greet with his musical guest. Beyoncé will probably try to ignore this snafu (publicly) like she does all the other negative stories about her. But if it continues to be a slow new week, I don’t think the media is going to walk away from this one anytime soon.

I expect Beyoncé to announce she’s donating two million dollars to some charity in 5…4…3…
