Demi Moore: Exhaustion My Ass

Demi Moore was rushed to the hospital Monday night after a 911 call was placed from her home; her rep released this statement to TMZ:

"Because of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health.  She looks forward to getting well and is grateful for the support of her family and friends."

Translation: Demi Moore fell off the damn wagon.

I think Hollywood needs to come up with a better excuse for a drug overdose. Severe food poisoning? Toxic shock syndrome? Either of those would be more believable than "exhaustion". I don't doubt that the break-up of her marriage and the overall ridicule she sustained was stressful. But nothing about Demi's work and home situation could cause her to be "exhausted". How many people do you know have been hospitalized for exhaustion? I have had two friends have mental breakdowns, but no "exhaustion" and I live in Canada, where health care is free. We show up at the doctor's for anything and everything.

Demi Moore is now seeking treatment for "exhaustion" at a private facility. This kind of smells like a career rehab to me. Get ready for the People magazine cover story, followed by the Barbara Walters interview.
